WHY DID YOU NAME YOUR BLOG
"SACAJAWEA SINGS"?
I named this Blog symbolically. Two reasons: This was my nickname at BYU-Hawaii. My alter ego, the exceptionally risk relishing one. The other reason I named it "Sacajawea-Sings" comes from her. Sacajawea in Shoshone means "Bird Woman". She was given this name as she sang to her infant son across the country. A woman who can carry her little one (symbolically and literally) across the difficulties of life deserves our notice......and my naming. As a mother I respect what she did and symbolically speaking, revere her ability to "sing" while she did it. The blog is my "song" while I drive this family across territory uncharted by my mothering self as well.
