PREACHING PLANTS

Lilu, Ad-man and CartR showing off last years pumkins we grew in our front yard. Great decorations for the Autumn and Halloween. My neighbors were jonesing after these babies! Think how much we saved at the pumpkin farm!! 9 seeds v/s 90 bucks!!

Plant Preachin' 101 Watering "debisgarden" this morning I was inspired to share a few life lessons learned from my plants. It never escapes me how wholly symbolic gardening is in every single way. It is a lesson on life from leaf to leaf. Here are a few leaves to share:

  1. You cannot have lavender without the bees ( roses without thorns etc.), lavendar is worth every single bee. My very favorite.
  2. Beautiful plants (people) left untended will wither.
  3. There is always more than you can use, it is so important to share ( not just zucchini mind you, share yourself!)
  4. Tiny seeds hold enormous power.
  5. Cutting back straggly parts brings forth more fruit ( with people too!!),
  6. Everything starts small, gets bigger, and goes to seed!
  7. Don't be wasteful, even the compost has a purpose
  8. Patience and constantly nurturing what is good will bring beautiful things into your life
  9. Its good to be in the sunshine and feel water (people and plants alike)
  10. LIFE IS DELICIOUS! and so are fresh veggies, if you need to be convinced, stop by for some sugar snap peas anytime!! MMMmmm MMMMmmm SNAP HAPPY DELICIOUS!

Plant Preachin' 102

Lilu and Tall boy with a "vacation zucchuni". Left on their own, they were monsters. Just like the little weeds in our lives can be. Huge, if we don't pull them! Does that count for Sweet Tooths? OUCH :)
