FRIENDS
i enjoy the distinct pleasure and cheery comfort of some of the best broads in town and out
friends who:
can come over when my house is a mess
call me exactly when i need it most
i can tell my secrets to
share their stuff
love my kids
forgive me for never answering my phone
make me laugh loud and long
read my blog
say nice things to me
giggle with me under their breath when they shouldn't
come to dinner and give the gift of their company
teach me what they know
enjoy life in the same way i do
see beyond my hearty ars
bless me with wisdom
give me kleenex when i blubber
want to be there
could care less about the surfaces of life and like the deep end of my pool
inspire me
help me 'just deal with it' for heck sakes
can talk about life in a real way
share treats from their kitchens and lives
crack up at my sense of humor
and make me behave myself
make long cloudy days seem bearable
and sunny days even brighter
know my heart
tolerate my weaknesses
could speak at my funeral because they know me that well
will tell me when there is spinach in my teeth
want what i want out of life
enjoy what i enjoy from life
and yet...
are different enough to have their own opinions
